The Mendip Chart Circle formed in early 2024 when five acquaintances from a Wells gardening club discovered a shared interest in commodity charts. They met monthly at each other's homes, but sessions lacked structure — charts appeared on phones, discussion jumped between cocoa and copper without resolution, and nobody kept notes.
They booked a Study Group Kickstart in March 2024, then enrolled in Weekly Screen Review for a twelve-week term. Eleanor helped them agree on a single charting package for shared screens (two members still use their preferred tools for personal work), established a presenter rotation, and introduced the fifteen-minute opening sequence.
By week eight, the group was producing session summaries that all five could follow. They paused weekly facilitation in June but return quarterly for Annotation Clinics. Member David L. notes: "We still disagree plenty. The difference is we disagree about the same lines on the same chart, and we write down why."
